The candidate we're seeking is best described as someone who:
- Enjoys goal-oriented problem-solving, who is energized by challenges

- Has a strong vocabulary and is an effective written and verbal communicator
- Is able to make consistently positive first impressions, without face-to-face interactions
Required Experience:
- Post-secondary education of any discipline
- Previous success in a B2C and/or commission-based sales role
- Fluency with current cloud productivity software and basic workflows
Preferred Experience:
- At least 1 year of sales experience (inside or outside) and/or delivering elite level customer service
- Some experience playing a musical instrument, at any level
Accountabilities:
1. Assist and sell to customers (incoming calls, leads generated through online marketing, school clients, etc.) to make an educated decision about music lessons
- Answer incoming phone calls, where you'll qualify and connect with customers. Provide them with a thorough sales presentation based on their area of interest.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of sales prospects in line with company policies and systems
2. Understand Merriam Music product offerings and market positioning at an expert level
3. Participate in professional development
- Participate in ongoing training and development
- Participate in weekly team meetings to strategize reaching sales targets through promotions and initiatives
Salary Expectations & Benefits:
The compensation structure includes both base salary in addition to performance-based commission. Successful candidates have the ability to earn between $50,000 $70,000.

Schedule and location:
The schedule includes a blended schedule included day shifts, evening shifts and consistent weekends. The individual will work fully remotely 5 days a week, but will be required to go on-site for training and after that, at least once every two weeks for team meetings.
